The Grachtenfestival is an annual music festival of Amsterdam. For ten days in August the city shimmers of classical music at outside venues, in historic gardens and buildings, squares and other non mundane places. The Grachtenfestival 2012, which takes love as its theme, will be the 15th edition of this highly successful festival full of ambiance, with over 50,000 expected visitors from the Netherlands and abroad. It will be held both indoors and outdoors - on pontoons in the canals, on boats, in splendid 17th-century canal houses, and in many other typical locations.
